Path Awards 2013

The Path Awards is the premier event of the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work. Since 2006, the Path Awards has recognized community partners and exemplary professionals in dietetics, public health, and social work. The awards ceremony brings together community partners, leaders, faculty, staff, and students to celebrate their work to promote health, safety, and wellbeing in South Florida. This year, more people than ever attended our Path Awards event. We actually reached room capacity, with 320 guests. During the event, Dean Ciccazzo, on behalf of the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work, recognized the work of several talented and impactful community leaders, including:

  • Steve Marcus (Health Foundation South Florida), Robert Stempel Award
  • Shakira Henderson (Baptist Health South Florida), Advocacy Award
  • Ann-Karen Weller (Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County), Disease Prevention Award
  • Paul Levelt Andre (Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County), Environmental Health Award
  • Childnet, Inc., Innovation Award
  • Doris Ruder Kitchen (Department of Family Medicine at the University of Miami), Social Wellbeing Award
