Stempel Researcher is awarded grant to prevent health risks among young adults

Dr. Eric Wagner was awarded a SAMHSA grant for a project entitled “the Miami-Dade partnership for preventing health risks among young adults.” It’s $300,000 annually for three years, for a total budget of $900,000.  The goal is to prevent substance abuse, HIV, and HCV among Hispanic young adults attending FIU and/or living in Miami-Dade.  Dr. Wagner is the principal investigator and the award is to FIU. this project also involves partnerships with Banyan Health Systems, Union Positiva, and the Mixto Music Foundation.
