Dr. Timothy Page, an associate professor in the Department of Health Policy & Management at the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work, has been selected to join the editorial board of the professional journal, Population Health Management.
Dr. Page joins an esteemed group of experts who regularly contribute to the bi-monthly journal, which is edited by editor-in-chief David B. Nash and published by Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. As an editorial board member, he will take part in editorial decision-making and become part of a network of population health stakeholders. Dr. Page will also review select articles to the journal.
According to Dr. Page, “Being involved in professional journals is an important piece of service to the public health profession. We’re able to disseminate our important research findings in academic journals because nationally recognized experts volunteer their time to serve as peer reviewers, associate editors and editors. As each of us ascends through the ranks in our particular areas, we need to pay that same service forward for the benefit of our students and junior colleagues.”
Dr. Page joined the faculty of the FIU Stempel College in 2008 after completing a Ph.D. in economics at the University of New Hampshire. When speaking about his work, Dr. Page always emphasizes that, “It has been a privilege to partner with so many wonderful organizations in the community, academia and industry to find solutions for the healthcare challenges facing our nation in the 21st century.”
